MESSAGE FROM ASFA HOLDING CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ASAF ATASOY ON THE APPROVAL OF THE MARCH 12 NATIONAL ANTHEM AND MEHMET AKIF ERSOY MEMORIAL DAY
ASFA HOLDING Chairman of the Board of Directors, Philanthropist Businessman Asaf ATASOY, published a message on the occasion of March 12, Adoption of the National Anthem and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Commemoration Day.
ASFA HOLDING Chairman of the Board of Directors Asaf ATASOY included the following statements in his message;
We are experiencing the justified pride and happiness of celebrating the 104th anniversary of the adoption of our Independence March by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on March 12, 1921, which is the glorious epic of our nation’s unparalleled struggle for liberation and resurrection throughout history, and the symbol of the independence of our state and nation.
The acceptance of our National Anthem has strengthened our nation’s belief in its independence. This acceptance is also of great importance in terms of strengthening our national identity and national values. While the acceptance of our National Anthem is commemorated on March 12 every year, commemorating our national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy and his work means protecting the past of our beloved nation and our values.
March 12 is not just a date; it is a symbol of our national unity, solidarity and independence, together with the adoption of our Independence March, which is the symbol of our nation’s struggle for independence and freedom.
With these feelings and thoughts, on the 104th anniversary of the acceptance of our Independence March, I remember with respect, gratitude, mercy and appreciation, first and foremost Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, our national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy and all the heroes of our struggle for independence.
